Michael McDunphy was Joe Stanley's brother-in-law from the other side being married to Joe's sister. Later in the new Republic Michael was to become secretary to two Presidents and was instrumental in the formation of The Bureau of Military History - often a tricky course. Michael like so many gave his recollections of these unique times to the BMH.
